Kendall Jenner as the New Face of Estee Lauder

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star gone model, Kendall Jenner has announced her appointment as the new face of huge beauty brand Estee Lauder. Kendall teased the public with an instagram snap saying she had a big announcement to make last Friday, posting this photo with the caption: Big news tomorrow…#WatchThisSpace

Kendall made the announcement yesterday (Saturday 15th) to the press that she will be the new face of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder.

The official video released by Estee Lauder shows glimpse of Kendall as a young child trying on her mum,’s (Kris Jenner’s) make-up.

Kendall believes the appointment is an honour, stating she feels ‘just so incredibly blessed.’ She has taken to social media to post her exciting news:

'I am super excited to announce that I am the new face of @esteelauder!! check out http://www.esteelauder.com/kendall to see more...' she wrote.
'I still can't believe it myself!' she informed her more than 15 million Instagram followers as she shared an edgy shot of herself posing on a motorcycle.

According to Vogue.com, Kendall has been aware for quite some time of the deal that will land her face in magazine print ads and TV commercials all over the world.
Kendall received word backstage during the Sonia Rykiel show at Paris Fashion Week on September 29 and has done a stellar job keeping such huge news secret for more than a month since.
The website also reveals that as part of the company's new 360-degree marketing campaign, they chose Kendall in part due to her huge social media following and made the decision that she would announce her appointment on Twitter and Instagram.

The news has arrived just two weeks after the models 19th birthday proving she is already looking to have a good year ahead of her. There has been quite a lot of backlash from the public with some people believing she is far too young to be the face of the beauty brand which is widely used by middle-aged women.

What do you think?
