Pro Packing Tips

Pro Packing Tips

Summer is finally upon us, which means it is time for summer holidays and the dreaded packing process! Ask yourself: What’s the weather going to be like? Are there any formal evening events involved? Is there room to recycle outfit pieces?
My key to successful packing is to make a precise and detailed list. Not only does this help you not overpack, it also helps you ensure you do not forget anything! Start by writing down the bare essentials (toiletries, underwear, suncream etc) Think about basic things you need:  a warmer layer for the evenings, a chic go-with-everything dress, and so on.

My second tip is to PLAN YOUR OUTFITS. Look at all your clothes and make sure everything you pack goes with something else you have packed/ plan to pack. Lay your outfits out on the bed for day and evening, ask yourself if there are any items you can rewear to create a different look? Remember, if it’s a hot holiday destination you’re unlikely to need a lot in the day time, just some swimwear and a nice cover up/ kimono.

  • Do roll your clothes instead of folding them. First of all, it minimizes wrinkles and therefore you don’t have to worry about the quality of your hotel iron. Second of all, it frees up a lot of space for other traveling necessities.
  • Don’t forget to pack a great belt, a pair of statement earrings, and a classic pair of flat sandals. When in doubt, these things will come in handy.
